How To Maintain Glowing Skin During Summer?

Summer is the season where majority of us become active mostly outdoors either going to the beach, play our favorite outdoor sports, or anything that we can fun under the heat of the sun. It’s one great season that everybody is getting excited about. But you should be aware that this is also the time that you should be keener when it comes to skincare. There are a lot of things to remember about your skin before going outdoors and enjoy.

Check your skin type

Check your skin type you may have oily, dry, sensitive, or a combination type of skin. So you will know what basic skincare routine best fits you during summer. And what certain product you skin needs.

Use Sunscreen!

This is the most important routine you should include. While having fun outdoors, you should not forget to guard your skin from the heat of the sun that can cause damage to your skin. Apply sunscreen on both your face and body before going out and reapply every 2 hours.

Exfoliate often!

Exfoliating skin can help cure dull, dry skin. It can wash off dead skin cells to rejuvenate and renew your glowing skin. You can use your homemade salt scrub or sugar scrub you can mix it with honey for a more moisturizing effect. You can work on it in a circular motion massaging the scrub from your feet through your shoulder, neck and face. Remember to do it with care. Be gentle, don’t rub to avoid irritation. Exfoliate at least twice every week during summer to maintain radiant skin.

Moisturize to hydrate skin

Hydrate your skin. Use moisturizer that would fit in your skin type or better choose one that can be safe for all skin types and contains natural ingredients. It should not have strong chemicals that can harm skin. Best if you opt for moisturizer with antioxidants that can help fight free radicals to fight aging signs to keep it away from fine lines and wrinkles. Moisturize your skin at least twice a day, in the morning and night time before going to bed. For your whole body, don’t forget to apply your favorite moisturizing lotion right after you shower to lock in the moisture into your skin. And finally, don’t neglect your lips it might be dry and flakey use a soothing lip balm to also moisturize your lips to keep it soft and moisturized.

Eat Healthy

Healthy diet is always a must no matter what season you’re in. Eat a lot of vegetables and fruits everyday to maintain not only healthy skin but your overall health as well. And don’t forget to drink lots of water. At least 8 glasses of water everyday
